Warrior Call is focused on getting service members, veterans and first responders connected. Connected to one another, connected to family and friends, connected to people who care and who can steer them to life-saving services. We seek to end isolation because isolation is often a precursor to suicidal ideation.
We are raising awareness through our visits to military installations, our work with allied organizations and through the annual National Warrior Call Day commemoration.
Greater connection is an essential step in a person’s journey back to wellness. Our view is that there is no cookie cutter solution for curtailing suicides, that one person’s path back will be different than another’s and will require distinct remedies and approaches. One size does not fit all; one size fits one.
We are an initiative of the Troops First Foundation and chaired By Frank Larkin, a former Navy SEAL, 40th U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms and father of a Navy SEAL son who died by suicide. Larkin is a nationally recognized advocate on suicide awareness.
